Eric Peters – “Squeeze”

I’ve been thinking lately about how to improve IndieRiver, our bootleg-trading community. I’ve got some things coming in that regard, but I’ll leave that be for now. But one thing that I know I can do, though, is entice you to check out the bootlegs by providing some MP3s from them. So, for the next little while, I’ll provide an MP3 from a bootleg of a Peg. I’ve got at least one recording of each of the 13 now, so I can really make this happen.

I’m gonna start today with “Squeeze”, which comes off of Eric Peters‘s Scarce. EP played this last night at the Behold the Lamb of God show in Huntsville [near where I live, for a change!], and I turned to Ron afterwards and just shook my head. Pappy, I know that I told you this last night, but you’re a talented guy, and your music is a blessing to us. Scarce is in the top five of albums I’ve gotten this year, and this song is one reason why.

If you liked this, go purchase Scarce. If you want to hear more from this show, it’s the 29-Aug-2006 SPA-in-the-round from the Radio Cafe. Instructions to get you started with IndieRiver are available.

Have a great Friday, everyone.

  1. Bob Arrell Says:

I was at the Ryman show on Wed. where EP played “You Can Be Yourself” better than I’ve ever seen him play it. Your are so right, he is one talented guy and a pleasure to be around. We flew in from Q’ville, Pa for the show and some other business and have to say that we were all blown away as each one stepped up to offer their hearts to the packed house. Then to top it off we witnessed the story we had been listening to for so long come to life on stage. In fact, the only way we could of had better seats was to sit on stage. Jill wasn’t able to perform that night because she was sick. It seems the AP Christmas Show BUG was infecting the cast. Sandra filled in for Jill that night and performed the song “Labor of Love” along with her other parts. Chills! what else can I say? Anyway, I could end up writing a whole review of the show if I continue so I will end it here. I will say this. If you have not seen the show you are missing one of the most heart felt works I have ever witnessed. Grace and Peace
