Eric Peters: “Scarce” for $2

Christmas shopping doesn’t get any easier than this, folks. Eric Peters has offered his newest release “Scarce” in boxes of 5 and 10 for just $2 per copy. The sale runs for 2 weeks, starting today. Buy some for your friends, and then tell those friends that they can see Eric on Andrew Peterson’s “Behold the Lamb of God” tour beginning with the 12/7 Huntsville show.

He’s also got new t-shirts on the web site. They feature a VW Ghia like the 1965 model he’s been spotted driving around Nashville. Be sure you add one of those to your cart before checking out.

Hang With Katy on Halloween

We [well, at least I] have been kinda swamped this month, but we do have some news for you: the Halloween Square Pegs show originally scheduled for tomorrow has had to be cancelled. In its stead, Katy wrangled up a bunch of her bluegrass friends, and they’re going to have a good ol’ time at the Radio: Katy, Kenny Hutson, Kenny Meeks, Jake Bradley, Brent Clifton, David Long, and [possibly] Julie Lee … just good friends getting together to have a good time playing good music, just like we expect at the Radio.

[As much as I'd love to be there myself, it's not going to happen. :(]

Jill Phillips Article in the Fall issue of Radiant

Radiant magazine has a great article on Jill Phillips. She’s in the Artists to Watch section. It should be on newsstands now. Relevant magazine will have an article on Jill in the November/ December issue. We’ll let you know as soon as it hits the newsstands. Plus, more dates have been added so take another gander at the tour dates and see if Jill Phillips will be in a town near you.

iTS and the Square Pegs

We’d like you to know that both Andy O and EP have new stuff on the iTunes Music Store: Osenga got the Souvenirs and Postcards EP up there with the rest of his catalog, and EP has gotten his whole catalog listed. Now maybe, like me, you already have most/all of this music, but that’s not to say that you can’t take a moment to look it up on the iTunes Store and give it an honest [and hopefully positive] review:

Right now, only More Than Watchmen is showing up on the iTMS for me, but when the rest is available, we’ll put up links. Update [8 Nov]: Everything seems to be online now, so we’ve added links for everything. So, the next time you have some iTunes purchases to make, you now have no excuse—we did all the heavy lifting for you!

Square Pegs in the Round in October

You’ve asked, and we’ve investigated: here’s the list of Square Pegs in the Round shows on tap for October 2006:

  • 10 Oct: Eric Peters, Andy Gullahorn, Matthew Perryman Jones, and Katy Bowser.
  • 17 Oct: Andrew Peterson, Jeremy Casella, Sandra McCracken, and Chris Mason.
  • 31 Oct: Lineup TBA.

We hope to see you there! As always, there’s no cover on these shows, but that is always dependent upon your patronage of the Radio Cafe. So get yourself something to eat and drink before, during, or after the show!

30 Oct: The Halloween Square Pegs show has been cancelled with a new date in its place.

NO Andy O at The Basement in Nashville This Wednesday

I’m only posting this because notice to me on this one was pretty last minute [and because Osenga hasn't blogged it himself]: Andy O and a band will play The Basement in Nashville on Wednesday, 4 Oct 2006. I’d go myself, but I’ve got church responsibilities that night. [First person to whine that I'm not there to tape the show gets flogged. :)]

And no, there’s no Square Peg show at the Radio tonight, in case you were wondering. [I just got 100% confirmation of that from Chris.]

Update: Andy let us know that things have changed, unfortunately.
