Katy Bowser Chat Transcript

Yeah, I’ve been lax in getting this posted. My apologies: I was going to try to reformat it, but … no point at this point. Let’s just get it out there. I’m also posting the Green Room Transcript, which will make some of this make a bit more sense. :)

Start of #katybowser buffer: Thu Jun 29 22:21:22 2006

* Now talking in #katybowser
* Topic is ‘Katy Bowser in Chat Tonight! 8:00 p.m. Central.’
* Set by gfmorris on Thu Jun 29 19:52:35
Geof: RON!
Ron: gfm!
Ron: does the “F” stand for “freakin’”?
Geof: Funkadelic.
Ron: ahhh
Geof: okay, that’s a lie. Franklin.
Ron: i swear i feel like such a kid sitting on irc
Geof: It’s like college all over again.
Ron: yeah, really
Ron: back before the world discovered instant messaging
Geof: Back when IRC *was* Instant Messenging.
Geof: Or, uh, Messaging.
Ron: if it weren’t for geeks, this would be one boring world to live
in
Geof: Yeah, I was at work until half-an-hour ago
Geof: I’m friiiiiiiiiied
Geof: damn straight on the geek thing, though.
Ron: a world without smart phones and wifi at mcdonalds? no thanks
* KatyJane has joined #katybowser
Katy: Geof, you there?
Geof: Yes, indeed
Katy: YAY.
Ron: so if we end up with like 3 people in here tonight, we’ll have to
just pretend it was a huge event
Geof: Me and Ronzilla both
Geof: Dude, I can’t lie … I publish transcripts ;)
Ron: lol
Katy: That’s cool- I’m working on “buzz”.
Katy: just playin.
Geof: I have a lot of questions for Katy anyway
Katy: am i an hour early?
Geof: Yeah
Katy: i thought so.
Katy: so, are there any rules?
Ron: *somebody* had to advertise the time as central
Geof: I just hopped on when I got home so I could be the room admin
* ronzilla points to gfm
Geof: yeah, well … Kiss it, ron
Geof: The only rule is that, if we have enough people, I’ll moderate
the chat
Katy: this is so funny- i have the feeling this has its own little set
of rules
Katy: keen.
Geof: which means only the three of us can talk at any time
Geof: anyone else would have to be given speaking privileges
Katy: gotcha. that sounds sanity giving
Geof: like this is the British House of Commons or something
Katy: it’s like being the wake up fairy
Geof: yeah, it reads a lot better that way
Katy: ok, or the house of commons.
Katy: like Roberts Rules.
Geof: It’s also why we have an open backchannel, so people can talk
while the thing is going
Katy: that’s neato!
Geof: yep, exactly … and I’m an old SGA nerd
Geof: and we also have a backroom for us if we need it
Geof: which I need to invite you two to right now …
Katy: I went to PCA General Assembly a bit ago and they use it
Katy: what do we do there, and how do we get there>
Geof: you should get a popup to invite you there
Ron: we laugh at lame questions and generally goof off
* gfmorris invites you to join #katybowseradmin
* hanfaith has joined #katybowser
Geof: Howdy, Hannah!
Geof: I was just about to email you to remind you :)
Hannah: Hi! I’m glad I was able to connect - I wasn’t sure if I’d be able
to figure out all the chat stuff.
Woohoo!
Geof: w00t! :)
Geof: So, how are things with the move?
Hannah: Going ok. I’m in a hotel right now - Phil is with his sister in
the hospital.
Geof: :(
Geof: how’s that going?
Hannah: She’s going to be moved to Boston either tonight or tomorrow
morning. She’s in good spirits and doing
well - entertaining quite a bunch of people in her hospital room! She’s a
trooper.
Geof: It’s good that she’s in good spirits
Geof: Which Boston hospital? Brigham & Women’s?
Hannah: I’m not sure which one. We have a family friend who’s a doctor
down there, and he recommended a
specialist who was able to get her in. Hopefully this will give her a good
chance of a full recovery without
losing too much hearing and muscle control.
Geof: good deal.
* hanfaith has quit IRC (Read error: EOF from client)
* hanfaith has joined #katybowser
Geof: Lemme see if I can get you invited to our backchannel, Hannah
Hannah: k
Geof: you should have a note about it in some popup
Hannah: I got briefly disconnected right when something new popped up, so
I missed that. Can you send it again?
Geof: k
Geof: sent
Hannah: ok, i see the invite
* mescutia has joined #katybowser
Geof: Howdy, Mike
MEscutia Hey
MEscutia The party hasn’t started yet, has it?
Ron: not yet
Geof: we’re gonna give it a few more minutes to see if other folks show
Geof: and if not … well, no need to moderate five of us :)
Ron: a good show always starts a few minutes late anyway
Geof: heck yeah
MEscutia Yup.
Ron: i just realized all of our SNs are the same lenght
Hannah: very true!
Geof: Ron, you might be nerdier than me
Ron: might be?
Geof: and … I dunno if that’s a good thing
Ron: i passed you long time ago
Hannah: is that possible?
Geof: See, yeah, Hannah, I’m wondering
Ron: i make you look almost normal
Geof: I mean, I am a frickin’ rocket scientist
MEscutia Ron: I can change mine if you want. :)
Geof: hahahahahahahah, I have you fooled, Ron.
Ron: same length makes for easier transcript reading
MEscutia Yup.
* mescutia is now known as NthMike
NthMike: That better?
Geof: well, but MEscutia is eight letters, too :)
NthMike: Ah, but NthMike is only seven. :)
Ron: be the oddball if you must
Geof: I’m a … retard
NthMike: Ron: I must. :P
Geof: okay, let’s get this thing started
Geof: Jesus said that he’d be there wherever two or three were gathered
Geof: So I guess we pass
Hannah: so that makes six of us here?
Katy: That’ll work!
Geof: Yeah. But Jesus doesn’t get any of the hot buttered Cheerios!
Geof: [Don
NthMike: Mmmm.... cheerios.
Geof: 't ask.]
Katy: ohhhh… six with Jesus!
Ron: i bet his wine is better
Katy: got it.
Hannah: oh yeah
Katy: I’m counting on it.
Katy: Mike, I was having some cheerios for a snack.
Katy: Can I say that here?
Geof: Okay, I guess I’ll start with the first question: Why a six-track
EP after such a long wait?
NthMike: Katy: Yum!
Geof: [sure ... I'll edit the transcript so that it makes sense]
Katy: Well, Geof, since you’ve got it already, you’ve probably noticed
it sounds pretty different.
Geof: True
NthMike: [Hey, look... IRC /msg spam!]
Katy: So… ok, let me back track a little…
Katy: what kind of spam?
NthMike: Not the edible kind.
Katy: :)
Geof: [spam sent to his nickname, not the chatroom ... I blocked the
chatroom from that :)]
Katy: Well, I was working on a next album, kind of at the same pace as
the last one-
* nikkiana has joined #katybowser
Katy: And started to talking to a small label, and it was sounding like
a really good idea.
Katy: So, I kept writing, getting ready to something with that label,
and in the process met one Kenny
Hutson. And he was really hot.
Katy: And nice.
Geof: hehehehheheeh. I’m sure that he’ll love reading that.
Katy: :)
Katy: uh, can you give me one sec? that’s him…. really. 30 sec.
Geof: ok
Geof: sure thing
Katy: Kenny’s show just finished- he was just checking in
Geof: cool
Katy: So, things slowed down with the label, sped up with Kenny. He
started playing shows with me in there,
somewhere.
Katy: Kenny and I get married, the label pulls out the week after our
honeymoon.
Geof: ugh.
Hannah: ouch
Katy: And we were honestly relieved- it was starting to feel really
weird.
Hannah: So it was freeing?
Katy: So we decide to do it Dave Ramsey style- cash on the barrelhead.
So we started buying gear.
Katy: It was totally freeing. And, oh by the way, we started writing
together.
Katy: No premarital songwriting. :)
Geof: hahahahaha.
Ron: lol
NthMike: Hee.
* nikkiana giggles.
Katy: And I started to REALLY dig it.
Katy: I’ve always loved to write songs, of course- but stylistically, I
suddenly felt really at home in my
skin.
Katy: Y’all know a little american music history?
Geof: That’s awesome. Listening to it, you definitely click musically
Katy: Thanks!
NthMike: I know enough to fake it. :)
Hannah: I can’t wait to hear it! I hope to be able to purchase it soon.
Ron: yeah, i remember the room at 12th & porter at EP’s release show.
you had the full attention of
everyone there
Katy: I grew up on jazz, and Kenny grew up on bluegrass- so when those
elements started to play together, we
started to sound something like oldtime, or gypsy jazz.
Hannah: sweet
Katy: That show was really fun- so nice to see what everyone’s up to.
Katy: As for the 6 songs-
Katy: We figured we’d do it stripped down, simple, and at home, and see
what came of it. And we really
ended up liking it. But we thought we’d put our toes in the water with
the new thing, build with that, and
then do a full length album.
Geof: Sounds like a plan to me.
NthMike: Yup.
Katy: So this really kind of feels like a debut- it’s a really new
thing to us both.
Nikkiana: a practical way to approach things. :)
Geof: It feels homemade, but in that good way … like a warm apple
pie.
Katy: We’re trying. :)
Katy: mmm.
Katy: Hence, the packaging, too- we were hoping it would be eye
catching & cheap, too!
NthMike: It is!
Geof: It is pretty awesome.
Katy: And it feels kinda like what we’re up to. Mike, you got yours?
Good.
Geof: I wasn’t sure what it was for certain until I broke the wax seal.
NthMike: I’m just glad the CD is in a sleeve inside the bag, though.
NthMike: Katy: Yup. Two copies. :)
Katy: Yeah, we thought we better, in case the paper was kinda coarse.
Katy: Share if you care to- or just keep one there…
NthMike: Actually, I’ve already offered it to Nikkiana.
Katy: That’s sweet. :)
Nikkiana: I just need to catch up with NthMike….
Geof: Yeah, you take him up on that.
Katy: indeed!
Geof: I admit my bias to mandolin and steel guitar, but … I really
love it
NthMike: Next time I’m up in Concord…
Geof: and I’m not saying that as the chat moderator
Katy: That Kenny Hutson- he’s something. And I’m not just saying that
as his wife.
Nikkiana: If there’s anything wedding playlist worthy, it needs to be up
here before the wedding, NthMike :P
Katy: He continues to amaze me!
NthMike: Nikkiana: Of course. :)
Katy: Wedding playlist…hmmm…
Nikkiana: KatyJane, i’m getting married in August.
Katy: Congratulations! Do we know this guy?
Hannah: There you go, Katy - you’re next album could be wedding music.
NthMike: Nikkiana: You and Matt can have your first dance to “Turn the
Other Cheek”. :P
Katy: I actually wrote that the day before Kenny proposed
Geof: Well, “All of My Friends” would be appropriate in some ways
NthMike: Geof: True!
Katy: That was for the bridesmaids…
Geof: but keep in mind that such suggestions come from a single guy ;)
Geof: [but I've been in lots of weddings, heh]
NthMike: Same here.
Katy: Such lovely girls- sweet as anything, but willing to fight for
their friends!
NthMike: Well, except I’ve never been in any weddings.
Nikkiana: hehe
Katy: How exciting, Nikkiana. I heard a great little thought on
engagement somewhere-
Katy: There’s this sense in which you can identify with Jesus in a way
different than any other season- the
anticipation He has now of waiting to take His bride.
Katy: All of that now & not-yet-ness, you know?
* nikkiana nods
Hannah: I completely agree, Katy
Nikkiana: makes sense.
Katy: Just something really special- even while it can drive you nuts!
Hannah: So do you consider this EP a transition to a new sound.. or just
an experiment
Geof: And how much are you going to tour this?
Katy: Definitely transition to something new! That whole square peg
image? In a micro sense, I feel like I
just popped into place. I’ve always enjoyed messing with styles I like,
but this feels like homebase.
Katy: And touring is interesting- we’re up in the pacific northwest in
a few weeks, a couple of times, and
playing Nashville this summer some-
NthMike: I’m listening to “All of My Friends” (the song) right now. It has
a vaudeville feel to it.
Geof: I am quite pumped about the Nashville stuff
Katy: Kenny’s on the Counting Crows/Goo Goo Dolls tour from mid
August/mid Sep with the opener, Eliot Morris
* ronzilla wishes atlanta were closer to nashville
Geof: Niiiiice.
NthMike: Katy: Wow.
Katy: We’re feeling out fall after that, and then Jan-summer are mine.
Katy: But that was such a neat thing to have happen, we bumped plans
around. My thing can sit a bit, and we
can get it out to radio, distribution some, and work from there.
Katy: And we’re touring with a guy named Ed Pettersen in Jan/Feb, it
looks like, opening for him and being
his band.
Geof: You mentioned radio … how do you approach that?
Katy: Well, the thing about being an indie and putting out an entirely
new thing- I’m kind of putting it out
there, garnering opinions and response, and working from there. We have
some NPR and Americana stations that
are already behind us, here and there…
Geof: There’s actually some of that community around here with WLRH and
some of the bluegrass/Americana
stuff, by the by …
Katy: And have some help with Americana radio- so it’s really kind of
feeling it out as we go. But right
now, Geof, it’s getting radio where we play, and saying hello to new
places.
Katy: I’d love to talk to folks there, Geof.
Geof: and then the Square Peg Alliance, where the rising tide should
lift all boats
Geof: [I will see who I should get you in touch with down here]
NthMike: We’ve got NPR here in New England (Boston area), but I don’t know
about Americana stations (of the
commercial variety).
Katy: True- I think it kind of already is, a little!
Katy: Mike, y’all are like the NPR kings.
Katy: :)
Nikkiana: NHPR has the Folk Show on either Saturday or Sunday…. I can’t
remember which
NthMike: Well, Boston has a LOT of colleges and universities, and many of
them have radio stations.
* nikkiana is marrying an NPR junkie…
Katy: Nice! I’d love to get back up to New England as we can.
Katy: Nikkiana is a wise and brave woman.
NthMike: Yeah…. I haven’t seen you since you opened for Waterdeep at
Drifters.
Geof: I concur.
Nikkiana: You’ve got that right on the brave part ;)
Katy: Whoa! That’s been a while, Mike! I love those Waterdeep folks.
NthMike: I was happy to finally get to see them in concert, too. :)
Katy: They were so good for me- I felt like I was in a Don & Lori
sandwich.
Katy: And Brandon was so great to book me for a while there.
NthMike: hehe
Geof: What’s your favorite track off of the EP, Katy?
Ron: [i think gfm sat all day thinking up questions to ask]
Katy: Hannah and Ron, which of your children is your favorite?
Katy: hahaha
Geof: [Hey, I've been working on this for a week now.]
Hannah: :)
Ron: good answer
Geof: Yeah, I was expecting that one ;)
Katy: Kind of smarty-pants- sorry! I’m working on it-
NthMike: [He's SO disappointed that he can't actually *moderate*... ;)]
Geof: well, I will never criticize anyone for being a smarty-pants
Ron: my wife did wonder if “all of my friends” was about you, a
friend, or just completely fiction
Katy: You know, it depends on the day. hour. The fun of an EP,
especially, is I really do like every
track. Sometimes I wonder if Rosewood Casket is the redheaded stepchild,
but I think it’s one more little
piece of us I wanted to add.
Katy: Turn The Other Cheek is fun for me, All Of My Friends is too-
Katy: Weight of the World is really dear to me, for sure.
NthMike: You and Kenny basically built your own little studio for this,
right?
Geof: I think “Weight of the World” is the one that gets caught in my
head the most
Katy: That’s good to hear.
Geof: It’s that chorus …
Katy: We did build a little studio. And got additional gear from the
Webbs, Mitch Dane, and our friends the
Baldwins- it was fun to try on everybody’s stuff
NthMike: Cool.
Katy: I really needed Weight of the World when I wrote it- just needed
to write down the gospel as best I
knew it at the moment
NthMike: So will the next full-length album be like one of Andy Gullahorn’s
CDs in that he put something like 15
songs on each?
Geof: Yeah, it reminded me of my pastor, who jokes that he’s preaching
to himself about half the time
Katy: I can assure you it won’t be like an Andy G record unless Jesus
comes back first.
NthMike: (I think that came out as a grammatical horror.)
NthMike: Heh.
Ron: what did you like best about doing the EP on your own turf
instead of renting a studio?
Katy: I like the phrase grammatical horror.
Katy: I engineered a lot of my own vocals, for one thing.
Katy: Make a pot of tea, sit down, get your sounds right, make goofy
sounds- no one has to know.
Katy: Except you. Now.
NthMike: Of course, Andy also didn’t use any other musicians and spent six
years between albums, so I guess he
was justified…
Katy: That’s a good point. Have I mentioned that Andy’s on my musical
hero list?
Ron: mine too
Geof: And why is that?
Hannah: How long did it take you start to finish to complete the EP?
Katy: Cause Andy is awesome, poetic, honest, not navel-gazing, and
serves others with his songs. And he
makes me laugh and cry.
Katy: Hannah, start to finish…
Ron: gfm: i assume you were asking Katy, but he’s on mine because of
his willingness to be completely open
and honest with the listener. and the sense of humor helps too.
Geof: [very, very good reasons :)]
Katy: Well, our marriage, I guesss.
Katy: Thus far.
Katy: amen, Geof.
Katy: Hannah, we recorded for abour a month and a half, I think. Kinda
Feb-mid March, if I recall?
Katy: I could be wrong… the fun thing was, it was so easy, in that
you could do a whole day of tracking,
or just a take here and there, and not worry about the clock ticking.
Makes you feel like the Beatles, with
Apple.
Geof: Who all is playing at your release show next Thursday?
Katy: But the hard thing, Ron-
Geof: [and yes, I'm recording it for those who can't make it]
Hannah: thanks, geof
Katy: was not having other people to hear. Makes you wonder if you’re
doing any good at all for a while.
Katy: At the release- Me, Kenny Hutson, Jake Bradley on upright bass,
Julie Lee on some harmony (coupla fun
covers in there..) and Scott Simontacchi on mandolin and guitar. He did
our last photo shoot, too.
Ron: oh that sounds fun
Katy: I think that’s it. We’re really excited. Have I mentioned that?
I got a haircut and a new dress.
Geof: hey, it’s time to celebrate :)
Katy: I really think it’s gonna be fun! And Radio Cafe sounded like
the perfect room for this- I’ve always
wanted to play there.
NthMike: We definitely need to get you up here, Katy.
Katy: I went there with Sandra when she was engaged, back when, and
loved it
Katy: We’d love it, Mike.
Katy: No opener, by the way.
Geof: I assume that you book yourselves for shows?
NthMike: My friend Jason runs an occasional concert venue. I’ll have to
bug him.
Katy: I do book us now- we’ve had other people do it, but right now I’m
the girl with the job.
Katy: Bug him!
Katy: Booking’s easier than it was, but I do hope someone wants to pick
it up- this is a lot of work, and I
want to write songs more!
Katy: And garden!
NthMike: Too bad The Bridge isn’t at its original location. That place
could’ve hosted a multi-Peg event, I bet.
Geof: So gardening is one of your pleasures, eh?
Katy: So y’all are for this Peg thing huh? It feels so good to support
each other, publicly.
Katy: Yep. You should see my squash today!
Ron: i’ll put casella to work on my deck, and you can have the flower
garden
Katy: :)
Katy: Mostly vegetables- I read a lot of Wendell Berry this year
Geof: you got it. I wanted to put something together with the Pegs
from the moment I first heard about it
Ron: yeah, i’m glad to see it’s finally happening
Katy: And it feels so good to dig up the ground, put seeds in, have
something grow, eat it, put the waste in
compost, and make the soil rich again.
Hannah: me too
Geof: and what has happened so far has exceeded my expectations
Katy: Really, Geof? Which part?
Geof: well, for one, all our staff that wanted to help and fed us ideas
… and then how y’all have embraced
us
Geof: and each other
Geof: Osenga keeps talking about how he loves that this is all one
community effort
Katy: Me too1
Ron: yeah, i’d agree with that. and i think there were 5 different
people who had the idea all at one time
Katy: !
Katy: You know what I like especially? Musically, it really is a
diverse crew.
Hannah: Who actually came up with the name?
Katy: That is to say, we’re not all in one market. So this is not
entirely, or even primarily, I think, a
marketing thing. Because we work in diverse worlds.
Katy: The name? Was it Andy?
Ron: well, with a brand, you’ll have more power in your different
markets
Ron: i think it was gullahorn
Katy: Heck, I forget-
Ron: either mr. or mrs.
Katy: I think you’re right.
NthMike: Well, Jill wrote the theme song, I believe. :)
Katy: That’s true!
Katy: The brand does help- that’s tricky, though- can I ask- what do
you think the brand is?
Katy: There are some nuances I’ve been mulling over
Geof: I think of it as a little anti-establishment
Katy: ok
Geof: “We recognize that we don’t fit the mold, but … we’re gonna do
what we love to do and see who
follows us”
NthMike: Quality independent music that doesn’t fit commercial
expectations.
Ron: well said
Katy: I’ll take it.
Katy: Y’all have been so creative in your support already- I love it.
NthMike: It helps that we don’t have a bottom line to worry about. :)
Geof: We just do what we know
Katy: Which is a good thing to do- I’m working on that too!
Katy: Sometimes it seems like just digging into what you know and doing
that really well goes a lot farther
than reinventing the wheel. And y’all have got something going!
Katy: I had wine after the cheerios.
Katy: Cleansed my palate betwen.
Katy: between.
Geof: well, between all Bryan’s years supporting CC and Derek, all the
years I’ve got with the community,
and all the years Ron’s spent supporting AP and EP … we think we have
some ideas
Geof: and then Hannah and Chris and everyone keeps throwing good ideas
out there
Geof: and we just work as we have time and talent
Katy: Sounds like a powerhouse!
Katy: Seriously.
NthMike: And then there’s those of us who are used to supporting artists in
our own regions.
Geof: Sounds like the Square Pegs!
Geof: ;)
Ron: I’ve found it interesting how all of our abilities are working
together in this
Hannah: I agree, Ron
Katy: I was just thinking that- it does sound like the Square Pegs!
Ron: we put out the call for help and got people who know radio,
writing, tech, promotion, etc.
Katy: Fascinating, huh?
Ron: definitely
Katy: And I’m floored how y’all coordinate it across the country.
Geof: I try not to stop and think about it too much
Geof: I just try to keep rolling with it and just pretend like it’s no
big thing
Geof: and I think most everyone feels that way
Katy: It sure does work- y’all are a gifted crew.
Ron: geof just wants to be a pseudo-celebrity and have people notice
him at concerts ;)
Katy: The hat helps.
Katy: :)
Geof: ha! I haven’t worn that hat in years
Geof: and … whatever, Ron
Geof: You’re getting that too, Mr. Assistant Producer
Katy: Kenny thinks I should wear one- like on the EP
Geof: ;)
Ron: oh yeah, the tone deaf record producer…that’s me
NthMike: For me, it helps that I’ve gone to so many concerts and had an
online presence for so many years.
Interacting with an artist whose work I enjoy doesn’t faze me anymore. :)
Geof: It helps that y’all are cool people
Katy: The net’s kinda fun for that- peoples are peoples.
Geof: because, like … I haven’t met a one of you whom I wouldn’t be
friends with if none of us did any of
this stuff
Katy: Or, to quote Horton- a person’s a person, no matter how small. :)
Geof: if we just knew each other from work or church or the
neighborhood
Hannah: that would be one awesome neighborhood
Geof: … and a loud one ;)
Katy: I think y’all sound pretty near, too- I hope to meet you all out
& about!
Katy: I didn’t mean near. I meant neat.
Katy: I do feel near to you, though. :)
Hannah: yeah, I’ll be the shy one in the back of the room — but I’ll
make an effort to say hi!
Katy: Give me the secret SPA sign.
Katy: Make one up. I’ll figure it out.
Geof: I’m afraid to ask what it would be
NthMike: hehe
Hannah: hopefully not stealth disco
Katy: Cason made a gang symbol for my neighborhood
NthMike: :)
Geof: oh, that Cason Cooley
Katy: Yeah, no disco here.
Geof: I don’t think that Katy knows about the stealth disco
Geof: Might have to correct that soooooon
Hannah: hee hee
Katy: I saw a stealth disco dude today who wrote me- related?
Geof: probably not
Geof: The stealth disco concept is where you get one person behind
someone who’s completely unaware
Geof: and the person in the background disco dances behind ‘em
Geof: and you have a third person get it on camera, whether video or
still
Hannah: pictures speak better than words when it comes to this
Ron: apparently
Geof: Derek has been stealth discoed so many times at this point …
Katy: uh-uh.
Geof: I think he knows that it’s coming
Katy: do they disco dance then?
Geof: heh
Geof: Cliff Young stealth discoes random people at shows
Geof: so does Osenga
Geof: We’ve infected the Caedmon’s guys with it
NthMike: Ha! That’s awesome.
Katy: that is super funny. do i need to watch out for this at the
show?
Geof: maybe so
Geof: though maybe you can stealth disco Kenny or something
Katy: i’m gonna be totally paranoid.
Hannah: sweet!
Katy: kenny would catch on- i’m always doing sneaky things, so he’s
got eyes in the back of his head
Katy: but a challenge is a challenge
Geof: hehehheheheh.
Hannah: it doesn’t count if there isn’t visual evidence - so make sure
you got your cameraman ready
NthMike: Geof is evil.
NthMike: :)
Katy: We’ll talk.
Geof: you know it.
Geof: well … I guess we better wrap this up
Katy: Y’all, I’m so glad to talk. I had better head, as the dishes
need doing, CDs need packaging, there’s
my wife to kill, Guilder to frame for it…
Geof: It’s been fun
Geof: heheheheheheheh
Katy: Y’all are so gracious to come talk! Drop a line anytime, say
hey!

NthMike: What they said. :)

Katy: Sleep good, all!
